In 1972 BMX frames of the era just weren’t durable enough. At least not according to GT founder Gary Turner, hence the name GT. So using skills acquired from welding drag racing cars, he created the first GT frame in his garage in Southern California. The frame was a hit. Since then GT has been continuously pushing the two-wheeled boundaries.
Each GT has decades of refined craftsmanship and today’s proven technologies built into them from the classic Triple Triangle™ frame design to Angle Optimised Suspension. With some of the most decorated athletes having thrown their legs over GT bikes, including downhill world champions, Olympians, Rampage and X-Games medalists, the brand continues to thrive, staying true to its core values and fun-loving spirit.
