The SCOTT Spark RC turns intent into momentum. Commitment into speed. Every pedal stroke chases time. Created for the demands of modern World Cup racing, every detail brings rider and machine closer together.

Nothing distracts. Nothing interrupts.

Every technology, design choice and feature ties back to at least one of these pillars. The new bike is built around three uncompromising principles, each shaping every aspect of Its design and performance.

Light Weight
Light weight means efficiency without compromise. Every gram has a purpose, transforming rider input directly into forward momentum, without sacrificing strength or reliability.

Ride Dynamics
More than just speed — It’s about how the bike behaves under true race conditions. Optimised suspension kinematics, balanced geometry, and precise, predictable handling give you confidence and control, turning effort into a competitive advantage.

Seamless Performance
Simplicity where it matters — A frictionless experience from setup to service, everything just makes sense. Smart integration, easy maintenance, lightweight routing, fast suspension access, and a protected shock ensure consistent performance — even over the longest, toughest races.

Light Weight

Light bikes only deliver an advantage when power is transferred efficiently into forward motion. Lightweight efficiency defines the foundation of this frame. It is not a design driven by chasing the lowest possible number on a scale, but by the pursuit of meaningful weight distribution that directly translates into performance on the trail and racetrack. Every gram removed has a purpose, and every structural decision is measured against stiffness balance and long-term reliability.

Carbon Experts
SCOTT Sports pioneered the use of carbon fiber in bicycles with the Endorphin a little over 35 years ago. Since then, SCOTT has worked to further refine its carbon craftsmanship and expertise to push the boundaries of what is possible building lightweight, high-performance bikes. SCOTT approaches each frame as a complete system — where stiffness, weight, and controlled flex work together to deliver exceptional speed and efficiency. Through extensive development and validation testing, the HMX-SL frame kit weighs just 1427g for a size medium painted frame, including covers and pivot hardware, placing it among the very lightest 120 mm frames on the market. However, being lighter on paper no longer wins XC races. The new Spark RC proves that this new generation XC race bike with 120 mm of suspension travel can match the weight of shorter-travel competitors while delivering significantly more speed, control, consistency and comfort. Rather than sacrificing capability to save grams, Spark RC turns lightweight efficiency into performance and race speed.

Race Day
For racers who demand absolute minimal weight, the platform also offers true strip-down potential: Internal storage components can be removed, cable guides are modular. This allows the bike to be configured for pure race-day use, unlocking up to 100 grams of additional weight savings compared to a fully equipped frame, without compromising structural integrity. Lightweight efficiency is not about fragility or short-term gains.

It is about building a frame that rewards every pedal stroke, delivers predictable handling, and maintains its performance season after season, whether on the start line or deep into a race-winning descent. Throughout the frame, SCOTT carefully selected the best materials to enhance ride performance.

Ride Dynamics

Every detail of this bike’s design has been carefully engineered to maximise grip and traction, to maintain stability, and give riders the confidence to push harder and ride faster. Ride dynamics are about speed through control, it’s about grip and stability. The Spark RC frame is engineered as a complete system, where controlled flex enhances both grip, line control and efficiency. Lateral, vertical, and torsional flex are carefully tuned across the entire frame to work together seamlessly. The result is a bike that feels responsive, predictable, and fast on any terrain.

Low Center Of Mass
A lightweight yet composed frame isn’t achieved through compromise — it’s the result of intelligent engineering. Through an optimised frame layout and advanced kinematic design, the shock is positioned as low as possible within the chassis. This allows structural carbon material to be removed precisely where it no longer contributes to performance.

With the shock placement optimised, mass is centralised and kept low in the frame — directly enhancing ride feel by improving stability, cornering precision, and overall control.

The bottom bracket area is reinforced to efficiently handle pedaling loads and maximize power transfer, while the rear shock sits in its ideal performance position without adding unnecessary weight elsewhere. Fully protected from dirt, water, and impact, it delivers consistent suspension performance in all conditions.

The result is a lightweight bike that feels explosive under acceleration, planted under load, and consistent over thousands of trail hours. Rather than sacrificing capability to save grams, the Scott Spark RC transforms lightweight efficiency into pure race performance.

Double Sealed
SCOTT doubled down on durability with bigger double-sealed bearings that guarantee a smooth suspension for way longer. Less maintenance, more trail time. Ceramic Speed SLT bearings with a lifetime warranty are featured on HMX SL and HMX frames, while HMF frames are equipped with stainless steel bearings.

Grip = Speed
If a bike isn’t balanced, riders can feel high-frequency vibrations that prevent the wheel and suspension from maintaining consistent contact with the ground. This is sometimes referred to as “chatter”. On mountain bikes, this situation typically occurs charging into corners at speed with the tyres at the limit of traction. The result is a repeated loss and regain of traction, where the tyre skips rather than grips. When this happens speed fades, control is reduced, and confidence disappears.

This loss of grip isn’t caused by a single component, it’s the result of the entire bike system falling out of balance. Suspension, tyres, wheels, and especially the frame all play a role. By engineering the Spark RC as a fully integrated system, SCOTT precisely control how these elements interact to suppress chatter, restore traction, and deliver a faster, more confident ride. The result: smoother lines, sharper cornering, and the confidence to attack every section of trail with speed and precision.

Stiffness is applied precisely where it enhances power transfer, while strategic flex zones improve grip and ride feel. At the same time, material is reduced wherever possible to achieve the lightest construction without compromising performance. Advanced ride dynamics on this bike are not about isolated numbers, they are about creating a cohesive system that translates rider input into speed, control, and confidence across all terrain.

Less. weight. More control. Maximum efficiency.
SCOTT's flex pivot system is no ordinary kinematic. The kinematic is designed in a way that ensures minimal deflection of the flex pivot to keep the suspension active, and the necessary flex that is present, happens only towards the end of travel, working with the shock air spring to ensure a predictable bottom out. In addition, SCOTT developed a proprietary, iterative in-house FE analysis method to precisely calculate the deflection of the rear triangle throughout travel, and combine this with traditional leverage rate calculations and SCOTT's secret sauce to ensure their kinematic is exactly as intended and not a best guess.

SCOTT's close collaboration with their suspension partners means that they have been able to develop this kinematic to work in unison with the specified shocks, resulting in performance tailored for, and worthy of, world cup racing. High traction under power, stability under braking and exceptional climbing prowess. Suspension performance is further enhanced by a custom rear shock tune with precision bearing eyelets, which reduces friction and increases small-bump sensitivity, and the kinematic is designed in such a way that the rider can use a greater air volume in the shock, with plenty of headroom for progression adjustment.

Seamless Performance

The Spark RC offers seamless performance. Every detail is engineered for race-day efficiency. Lightweight cable routing, open compatibility, and fast access suspension adjustments put performance at your fingertips. Setup is intuitive, integration is precise, and every performance-enhancing feature works together seamlessly. The fully protected shock delivers consistent, race-ready performance, even on the longest, most punishing marathon rides, so you can push harder, corner faster, and stay in control when it matters most.

Frame Cover
Service and suspension setup are intuitive thanks to the accessible frame with top and rear frame covers. These magnetic and clipped covers provide easy access to the shock and interior, making workshop service fast and hassle-free.

Both frame covers are sealed to protect the shock from dirt and water ingress. When running a split top cover, especially in combination with electronic shocks, dust and moisture entering the frame is unavoidable. To address this, a large drain hole in the frame efficiently evacuates any accumulated water. The shock shaft and seals remain fully protected, ensuring long-term consistent suspension performance in all conditions.

Full Shock Compatibility
Suspension compatibility has been key. The Spark RC is designed to work in perfect synergy with its provided suspension setup. The supplied shocks further come with a custom tune optimised for the Spark RC platform, ensuring peak performance out of the box. At the same time, riders who prefer their own suspension setup can fit any standard XC shock, providing full compatibility and flexibility. Additionally, the Spark RC features an easy to use sag and travel indicator.

SCOTT TwinLoc 3 Bikes in One
At SCOTT they truly believe in adapting the suspension to the terrain on the fly. Spark RC models which do not feature electronic suspension feature the TwinLoc Lever. SCOTT's proven TwinLoc Suspension system gives you confidence on any terrain. The TwinLoc Suspension System is a proprietary SCOTT technology that allows a rider to control a bike’s suspension.

Unlimited Dropper Insertion
Fit and dropper setup are also optimised for modern XC riders. A specially designed bottle cage mount adapter moves the threads outside the frame, allowing full dropper insertion. While dropper posts with up to 150mm are specified on size medium, all frame sizes fit at least a 150mm dropper post. The new Spark RC platform supports long-travel droppers up to 200 mm on larger frame sizes, while maintaining a low seat height. This allows riders to lower their weight and shift laterally more easily, fine-tuning balance, preserving grip, and staying fully in control on the most technical descents.

Syncros OCT – Octopus Cable-Routing Technology
As the frame and cockpit are engineered as a complete system, the internal cable management requires a solution that matches this level of innovation. The patented Syncros OCT, the Octopus Cable-routing Technology, is a system born to redefine cable routing in the mountain bike industry.

The headset acts as the central hub of the system, where each cable enters its own dedicated, colour-coded duct, making setup intuitive and eliminating any risk of error from the very first build.

From there, the ducts travel through the interior of the frame, routing every cable precisely inside the down tube to anchor points where directly accessible when the shock cover is opened. From these anchor points, cables run easily to their destination in a secure and well organised way.

The result is a cleaner frame, effortless serviceability, and a system that is virtually impossible to get wrong. The routing system is fully compatible with most aftermarket XC shocks, avoiding proprietary lock-in and offering maximum flexibility for upgrades.

Syncros Silverton CF 1
All Syncros products found on the new SCOTT Spark MY27 feature advanced technology, specific design, and significant innovation to provide a high level of riding performance.

The Syncros Silverton wheels remain the best partner for such a race bike. This new generation of wheels provides the perfect balance of lightweight design, stiffness, and control.

At the top of the range, we find the Silverton CF 1. This isn’t just a wheelset; it is the ultimate wheelset. Accompanying the new carbon rim profile, and serving as the connector to the Syncros 36T ratchet system hub, are carbon spokes that provide significant weight savings and make the wheelset perform incredibly.

The Silverton CF 1 proves that this new generation of carbon fiber wheels can lower the weight of Syncros' previous one-piece carbon fiber wheels while delivering significantly more speed, control, and serviceability.

With extensive development and validation testing, the wheelset reaches a target weight of approximately 1180 grams. This represents a substantial weight reduction of 75g compared to the old Silverton SL, placing it among the very lightest production wheelsets on the market. This weight reduction is achieved by revising all components individually, optimising the layout, and refining the wheel profile. The result is a wheelset that performs better and is lighter.

The platform delivers speed, precision control, and ultra lightweight performance for racers who demand the very best.

Syncros iC-M100-SL Cockpit
On the bike, a responsive and predictable feel is what makes you fast. That’s why the new Syncros cockpits have been engineered specifically for the Spark RC. The new cockpits feature optimised compliance and reduced weight, leveraging Syncros’ extensive expertise in carbon fiber engineering. From a geometry perspective, the design enhances both stability and control, while the lightweight construction directly improves handling and responsiveness.

The Syncros iC-M100-SL cockpit alone sheds approximately 60 grams compared to the previous model, achieving a total weight of just 210 grams, which displays a significant reduction that translates into a more connected and agile ride.

Fit is never compromised: stem lengths from 50 to 80mm and a 740mm bar width ensure every rider can find the perfect cockpit setup, combining comfort, control, and performance for any trail or race scenario.

Geometry
The geometry is modern, race-inspired, and progressive yet refined. Built-in head angle adjustability with +/- 0.5 degrees enables riders to fine-tune their bike to match terrain and riding style, whether chasing lap times or exploring challenging trails. The frame offers ample
space for two water bottles, including a large bottle on the downtube, even on a size small frame.

Steering Stopper
In the unavoidable event of a crash or during bike transport, the steering stopper helps protect the frame by preventing the handlebar and levers from contacting the top tube. It also safeguards cables and hoses from over-rotation of the handlebar and helps reduce damage in a fall.

In the event of a crash, the stopper engages automatically. This small component can be easily removed on-site and later reinstalled using the frame tool, allowing you to continue riding.

Save the Day Kit + Tool
Storage, protection and integration are also key considerations. Select models, including RC Pro, include Save-the-Day storage, capable of carrying a storage bag with a pump, tube and tyre levers, so riders are prepared for almost anything on the trail.

When the DT cover is opened, the integrated tool is easily accessible next to the shock in a dedicated mount. This tool allows all adjustments required for daily use on the bike: a 6 mm hex for the axle, a T25 Torx for additional fine-tuning, and depending on the model, a 3 mm or 2.5 mm hex for shock adjustments.
